Finding the perfect skincare products for your unique skin type can be difficult, especially if your skin is going through a through an awkward transitional phase, but after talking to a Paula's Choice* rep I discovered how my skin issues were easy to treat with the products from their Resist line.
Before we get started with the review, here's a little backstory on my relationship with my skin. I've always had a love-hate relationship with my skin but recently I've been aggravated with my skin because it's changing rapidly. In my teen years I was constantly trying to find products to combat my oily skin but now that I'm in my early 20's my skin has become normal to combination. You might think that would make my skincare routine easier but it's actually harder to find a skincare products that actually work. Some days I don't know if my skin is going to be dry, oily, or a combination of both. It was always a guessing game but with this line from Paula's Choice I think I've found a way to balance my skin.

CLEANSER: I enjoyed using the Resist Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser because it got the job done without causing my skin to have that dry and tight feeling. You know, when your skin is so clean it feels tight and uncomfortable? Well, that didn't happen with this cleanser, instead of feeling uncomfortable my skin was left feeling soft and refreshed.

Pro Tip: to get a deep clean I like to use this product with my silicone scrub brush to get every bit of dirt/makeup and then I follow up with my favorite product, the Daily Pore-Refining exfoliant.

EXFOLIANT: Warning, I'm currently obsessed with this product so excuse my excitement but it's literally magic in a bottle. Before I started using the Daily Pore-Refining Treatment I would always get those annoying little blackheads around my nose and tried everything to get rid of them. I would do all types of DIYs, mask, and use countless drugstore products but those little suckers wouldn't move. Due to my failed attempts I was skeptical about this product but after I gave it a try I fell in love. I think I fell in love with it because it got the job done without irritating my skin, which is rare.

Below I added some closeups so you can see the consistency of each product. As you can see the exfoliant doesn't have any beads or scrubbing ingredients in it so it's safe to use every day. (From left to right: cleanser, exfoliant, toner.)
TONER: As always, I'm 100% honest with my reviews so I would like to put it out there that I'm not a huge fan of toner. I usually skip this step but for the purpose of this review I gave it a try. Overall, I thought the Advanced Replenishing Toner got the job done, had a nice consistency and unclogged my pores but nothing really exciting happened.

DAILY SPF MOISTURISER: I have a bad habit of forgetting to use an SPF in the morning but after my skin consultation with Paula's Choice I realized how important protecting my skin was. Using a Moisturizer can help reduce the appearance of acne scars and prevent premature wrinkles so if you're skipping the SPF in the morning I highly suggest checking this one out because it's lightweight and doesn't change the way your makeup looks.

EYE TREATMENT: I'm a sucker for eye creams and tried many, but the Ulta-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum is hands down my favorite because it helped lighten my dark circles in 4 days. Most eye treatments take weeks to work because I'm constantly staying up working on a new project or starting at a computer screen for hours but this one works like a charm.

REPAIR CREAM: Since I have combination skin I have to use a heavy duty cream before bed or I'll end up waking up with dry patches on my face the next morning, and that is not cute! The only downside to the Intensive Repair Cream is the smell. Although it's marketed to be unscented it definitely has a scent that reminds me of paint and sunblock mixed together.

BLEMISH TREATMENT: So far I'm loving the BHA 9 Treatment because it's lightweight and doesn't have a scent but since I've only used this product for a week I haven't seen any changes with my hyperpigmentation/pore size. But don't worry, I'll update you guys in a month if I see any skin improvements.
OVERALL OPINION: Using one brand for your entire skincare routine is not only convenient but also better for your skin because each product was made to work with each other not against each other. I like the entire Resist line because it helps balance my skin but if I had to suggest one product it would be exfoliant. It's hands down the best skincare product I've ever used and that's saying a lot since I'm constantly testing new products.
