Tartelette in Bloom Palette Review + Swatches

Wednesday, April 20

I love Tarte Cosmetics because their products are always on point so when I heard about the  Tartelette 2 launch (back in November 2015) I rushed to get my hands on one! Flash forward to present day and it's safe to say I'm in love with the Tartelette in Bloom palette. Continue reading to find out why this is my favorite palette and if it's worth spending $45 for it.

Tarte product description: "Introducing our tartelette 2 in bloom palette – featuring 12 brand new, never-before-seen shades. With 9 mattes and 3 lusters, these lid liner and crease pairings allow you to create stunning, smoldering looks without the guesswork."

POSITIVE NOTES: Tarte did an amazing job with this palette because I feel like they had every skin tone in mind (except for one, lol skip to the downsides section to see which one I'm talking about.) Usually, I need a few swatches before a color shows up on my tawny skin but that wasn't the case with this palette because each swatch glided on my skin like butter. I also adored how the palette is scented with a beautiful hot chocolate fragrance, every time I open it I'm welcomed with a gorgeous scent that instantly put a smile on my face.
Longevity: If you forget to use an eyeshadow primer with this palette colors last about 5 hours, but if you use it with a good primer it can last all day and NIGHT. I'm serious, I've accidental fallen asleep with this on ( I know, I know I broke the number 1 beauty rule) and woken up with only a few smudges.
Packaging: I love the big the mirror because it's the perfect size to see your entire face but still fits into a small bag. And speaking of traveling with this palette, I take it everywhere and it still hasn't cracked when I dropped it.

NEGATIVE NOTES: I tried very hard to find something I didn't like about this palette but I only found fault with Smokeshow. Don't get me wrong, I love the color, but I feel like everyone and their baby cousin has a black eyeshadow. Sometimes I wish Smokeshow was a deep purple tone but that's a minor flaw. A huge downside to some people might be the fact that this palette was exclusively made for pink, warm, and golden skin tones. If you have bluish undertones this palette I suggest buying this palette from TooFaced because the colors will make you glow.

OVERALL OPTION: From day one I knew I was in love with this palette because It's perfect to wear to work, date nights, and brunch dates with the girls. If you're on the hunt for a new palette with rosy/golden tones I highly suggest trying this one because the packaging breathtaking, the colors are gorgeous and it's only $45!
