Pearly Whites | Laguna Pearl Earring Review

Wednesday, March 4

What comes to mind when you think of pearls? Do you think of the Great Gatsby era or the iconic scene from Breakfast at Tiffany's? Since I'm a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn Breakfast at Tiffany's first came to mind, but regardless the movie/era, pearls are known as a accessory must-have. And if you have't already guessed, today's post is all about a beautiful pair by Laguna Pearl! :)

Simplicity and elegance have never made such a perfect combination! These classic pearl stud earrings feature two 9mm, AA+ quality Freshwater pearls, handpicked for their beautiful luster. The pearls are mounted on the finest 14K gold backings. Our earrings are all made on site, and our experienced staff of GIA certified specialists pay careful attention to detail in order to create a truly beautiful piece of jewelry. | Price: $149 | Retail Price: $599

These pearls came in a little white box with a authenticity certificate, but my favorite part about the package was the navy blue box (aka, the box that actually held the earrings, not the white "protective packaging" box). I'm unsure why this color pulls me in, but I'm glad Laguna Pearl packages their jewelry in this elegant blue shade.

Now, I'm no expert when it comes to jewelry, nor am I picky gal, but I've witnessed some cheep butt earrings and these are definitely not cheep! They have a nice weight to them and don't irritate my sensitive ears so that makes me a harpy girl.

Every time I write a product post I try my best to extensively research the item/company before I publish a review. So, that being said,  the past few weeks I spent a lot of time on Googling and let my inner nerd come out. Pearls can be a little overwhelming to understand (because there's so many different ways to determine the quality), but now I think I got the hang of it and can break it down for you guys in a short and sweet way.

There's different types of pearls (haha, duh), but freshwater pearls average around $59-$1500. You can tell the quality of a pearl by its size, shape, color, and luster. Freshwater pearls tend to cost less because of the water they're created in and the color. so that's why these only cost $149.

      OVERALL RATING 4/5
These earrings are ideal you want to treat yourself or buy something nice for a friend without spending a ton of cash so that's why I rated this product 4/5.  Also, I enjoyed quality, packaging, and... (cue unintentional Dr. Seuss rhyme, Lol) believe the price is very nice. But if you're on the hunt for extravagant pearls I suggest getting a bigger size.
