Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Nourishing Facial Cream Review

Monday, August 18

Say hello to my new favorite skincare product, Sibu Beauty's Sea Buckthorn Nourishing Facial Cream! This product is a new found love because not only does it keep my face moisturized and refreshed, but it also protects my skin from environmental stress. Sounds to good to be true? Well, read along as I share all of the benefits this product has to offer and explain why it's officially replaced my other daytime facial cream.

Sibu Beauty is all about making beauty products that's 100% natural, cruelty free, and vegan to improve your skin's health. In their Nourishing Facial Cream* they used sea buckthon berries to help rejuvenate sun damaged skin, preserve healthy skin tone, to improve the overall texture of your skin.  Now I know, I know, everything is sounding to good to be true, but while I was using this product I had no issues whatsoever. No breakouts, no irritations, nothing. And this was pretty shocking to me because I almost always get breakouts when I try a product for the first time.

Another thing I really enjoy about this product is the packaging. Not only is it packaged in a sturdy glass container, but it also has a pump! If you're like me who's extremely clumsy you I'm pretty sure you can appreciate a nice pump to help prevent spilling facial cream over the counter. Trust me, a little feature like this is a huge life saver

Scent & Texture

As for the scent, I can't really describe it. It's not unscented, and it definitely smell like something. I just can't put my finger on it. Maybe I can't describe it because it smells like Sea Buckthorn Berries (which is something I never heard of nor smelled before, hehe). But let's just say it smells... healthy, and on their website they claim it's a citrus scent. Now, there is something that's citrus-y in this product, but  its overpowered by something else I can't describe.  Don't worry though, the smell isn't off-putting, it's just natural and earthy.

The texture of the product isn't heavy since it's for the day time, but it's also not light and airy because it's a day cream and not a moisturizer. Personally I believe it's a happy medium because you get everything. You get the rich moisturizing cream that doesn't clog your pores. It's a win, win!

Overall Experience

♥♥♥♥ 4/5

Bottom line, I adore this product, so I rated it 4 out of 5 stars. It would of been a 5/5 if the scent was a fresh one rather than earthy because I prefer my facial products smell light and breezy. Like clean laundry. But this is simply my personal preference and after you use it a few times you get use to the scent. So if you're on the hunt for a 100% natural daytime facial cream I highly suggest checking them out by clicking here and give this product a try. :)

  3. I am not sure, but these berries are very oily, so the smell is also of oil. It does not matter to me, because the properties of this oil are wonderful!
